About FritzPro A.C.C.R. Dry

FritzPro A.C.C.R. is a unique, highly-concentrated powder that completely, instantly and safely detoxifies ammonia, chlorine and chloramine from fresh and saltwater. FritzPro A.C.C.R is non-toxic and can be safely used in all types of fish and aquatic invertebrate culture. Ammonia poisoning is the most common killer of aquarium fish. Ammonia is produced by decomposing plants, algae, fish waste and uneaten food. Dangerous ammonia levels often occur in new aquariums or in an established tank when adding new livestock, when a filter stops working due to power or mechanical failure or if existing beneficial bacterial colonies are lost due to the use of medications or sudden change in water conditions. FritzPro A.C.C.R. will not alter pH or deplete oxygen levels. FritzPro A.C.C.R. is a true complete water conditioner that not only neutralizes toxic ammonia but also the chlorine and chloramines found in tap water. FritzPro A.C.C.R. is extremely safe even when overdosed.

Also available in an easy-to-dose liquid.

Directions & Dosage

1 teaspoon will treat approx. 40 gallons (151 L) or 32 g per 1,000 L (264 gallons). Using this dosage, 1.0 ppm ammonia will be instantly eliminated, as well as chlorine and chloramines. FritzPro A.C.C.R. dosage can be safely increased by 5x to remove greater amounts of ammonia.

  • For best results, dissolve ACCR in tap water in a separate container before adding water to aquarium.
  • No equipment restrictions necessary
  • No contraindications: can be used with all of our other products and meds
  • Handy when using medications that affect the bio filter: avoid water changes by adding ACCR to detoxify up to 1 ppm ammonia per dose
  • Dry products measured by volume (teaspoons, cups, etc) will always give approximate results - use a gram scale if available. If a gram scale is not available, be sure to test for correct concentration after use and observe for any changes in fish behavior.
  • Overdosed? It is safe to increase dosage up to 5x. Observe livestock for distress, perform small water changes if needed
  • Test with a chlorine test kit, salicylate-type ammonia test kit (those with yellow/green color charts) and avoid Nessler-type ammonia test kits (those with yellow/amber color charts)

NOTE: Due to the variation of granular size, conversion between volume and weight of powdered products are approximate; as a precaution, dose less than the calculated amount and measure the effect before adding the total amount.

The dosage of FritzPro A.C.C.R. can be increased by up to 5x the recommended amount. If a higher dose is added to the tank, ensure the aquarium is well aerated and monitor the dissolved oxygen levels.

  • Does FritzPro A.C.C.R. affect pH?

FritzPro A.C.C.R. will not affect pH at label dosages. However, if treating at over label dosage rates, monitor pH for slight drops.

  • If I remove all ammonia, will it harm the bacteria colony?

FritzPro A.C.C.R. dry binds with ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate making them harmless to the inhabitants while still bioavailable to the beneficial bacteria.

  • What do I dose if my ammonia is extremely high?

Dilute the ammonia concentration by performing a water change. FritzPro A.C.C.R. dry can be added up to 5x the recommended amount safely for high ammonia concentrations.

  • How long should I wait after treating water to add to tank?

Treated water can be added to the aquarium immediately after mixing with Fritz A.C.C.R.

  • Does the ammonia or nitrite get released back after a certain amount of time?
