About FritzPond Algae Clean Out
Excessive algae growth and green water are some of the most common complaints of pond and water garden owners. Left unchecked, algae is both unattractive and potentially hazardous to fish and plant life. FritzPond Algae Clean Out® is the most concentrated EPA-registered algaecide formula available on the market. FritzPond Algae Clean Out® targets string algae, blanketweed and green water caused by single-celled algae. Unlike some algaecides on the market, FritzPond Algae Clean Out contains no copper - it is a selective algae control product that will not harm fish and live plants when used as directed. It is also safe for wildlife and pets who may access the pond when used as directed.
FritzPond Algae Clean Out is effective in ponds, water gardens, fountains and small water features.

FAQs
FAQs
See below for frequently asked questions regarding FritzPond Algae Clean Out.
-
What is the best way to dose Fritz Pond Algae Clean Out® into my pond?
The ideal way is either to add it directly to the water outflow of the filter or to dose it in several partial doses around various points of the pond (example: you have a 1,000 gallon pond and are dosing 17 capfuls. Move around the pond so each capful goes into a different part of the pond). The idea is to make sure no pocket of very concentrated Fritz Algae Clean Out® occurs as this can be stressful for fish. Rapid dispersion of Fritz Algae Clean Out® is the goal.
-
Can you use Fritz Algae Control with shrimp and snails?
No, the algaecide is not safe with freshwater invertebrates.
-
Is this safe for pets and wildlife?
Yes, it can be used in any system accessible by pets and wildlife, including birds, amphibians, and reptiles. It is non-toxic and will not cause any harm if treated water is ingested.
