About FritzZyme® Lake Maintain
Large build-ups of organic sediment, or sludge, are common in many water bodies. This occurs as years of nutrients and organic matter entering the pond/lake through runoff containing fertilizers, grass clippings, leaves and animal waste. In many ponds, the largest contributor to pond sludge is dead algae, which accumulates annually.
FritzZyme® Lake Maintain is a biologically active formula containing a proprietary blend of bacterial strains selected for the ability to rapidly break down excess waste material in ponds, lakes and lagoons. FritzZyme® Lake Maintain has been shown to reduce the amount of available phosphorus, resulting in an overall decline in the algal population.
FritzZyme® Lake Maintain’s naturally occurring bacteria cultures efficiently digest pond bottom muck and lowers the organic matter in the water column for cleaner water and higher oxygen levels. These bacteria are stabilized and shipped in spore form for extended shelf life. Multi-level quality assurance processes means the purity and microbial concentration of our products are always consistent.
FritzZyme® Lake Maintain has been developed to provide you with clean, clear, beautiful water. The buildup of excess nutrients causes pond and lake eutrophication, which is very unsightly. FritzZyme® Lake Maintain is composed of unique classes of beneficial microbes known to rapidly metabolize excess nutrients, pulling them from the water column, returning the water to a naturally healthy and visually pleasing state.
Directions & Dosage
An initial application rate of 2 pounds of FritzZyme® Lake Maintain per surface acre is common for most water bodies. This should be followed up every other week with a maintenance application of 1 pound per surface acre to maintain optimum conditions.
