Testing your aquarium’s water parameters regularly is an important part of keeping and maintaining a healthy environment for your fish and invertebrates. This kit includes the four most essential test kits: Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate and Wide-Range pH. Each test comes with it’s own test tube, reagent solution and printed instructions with color chart.
To remove childproof safety cap, push down while turning.
Fill a clean test tube with 5 ml of water to be tested (to the line on the tube).
Add 8 drops from Ammonia Test Solution Bottle #1, holding dropper bottle upside down in a completely vertical position to ensure uniformity of drops added to the water sample.
Add 8 drops from Ammonia Test Solution Bottle #2, holding dropper bottle upside down in a completely vertical position to ensure uniformity of drops added to the water sample.
Cap the test tube and gently shake for 5 seconds. Attention! Always use the cap. Avoid skin contact as this may affect the test results.
Wait five minutes for the color to develop.
Read the test results by matching the color of the solution against the color chart. Note the freshwater and saltwater charts vary slightly.
Rinse the test tube with clean water after each use.

Cap the test tube and shake for one minute. This step is extremely important to ensure accuracy of test results.

Immediately read the test results by matching the color of the solution against those on the Nitrite Test Color Chart. Be aware that freshwater and saltwater results are different.
