ParaCleanse treats and controls of a wide variety of parasitic diseases. It is a blend of two common treatments for parasites in one convenient formula. It does not harm plants, other invertebrates or uninfected fish. It is also effective for some internal bacterial infections.
Active Ingredient: Metronidazole and Praziquantel
Use ParaCleanse for outbreaks of aquatic parasites including velvet (Oodinium dinoflagellates), hole-in-the-head disease (Hexamita sp. & Spironucleus), fish lice, or gill & skin flukes (Dactylogyrus & Gyrodactylus).

All suspected parasitic infections should be treated immediately.
Symptoms of possible parasitic infestation can include visible spots, clamped fins, flashing or scratching, patchy coloration, change in swimming behavior or corner-hiding.
Tiny yellowish-white spots. Fish shows loss of color, rubbing/scratching against bottom
Extra mucus, visible spots or worms, flashing, scratching or rubbing on rocks
Discolored, swollen gills, rapid breathing, gasping at surface
Pitting / discoloration on the head and lateral line
Sunken belly, clamped fins, weight loss, lethargy, deformity
Add one packet per 10 US gallons (38 L) of water.
Repeat dose once after 48 hours even if signs of infection disappear.
Perform a 25% water change five days after first dose.
If symptoms improve but do not completely disappear, repeat this treatment course once more.
Will not harm invertebrates.
May be used along with Coppersafe®, Maracyn®, Maracyn®Two or Maracyn®Oxy.
Due to interruption of normal filtration, water may become cloudy during treatment. This is normal and does not require any intervention.
Do not perform water changes during the course of treatment. ParaCleanse may inhibit nitrifying bacteria. If ammonia or nitrite is a concern, detoxify during treatment with Fritz A.C.C.R. or Fritz Complete
